RULE UPDATE 17/01/2018

IMPORTANT NOTICE
– you have to arrange your matches in the lobby at LEAST 24 hours before the deadline. We will monitor the lobby, if you fail to post a response or suggested time/ confirmation the morning of your deadline (12 hours to the deadline) you will FORFEIT due to not following the lobby rule. (howto arrange matches)
– Rosters are locked until the end of the leg (2 month roster locks at a time) and you can not make changes to your existing team.
-Cheating/hacking: if you have a VAC or PB ban that is less than 3 years old you will NOT be allowed to compete in the Ballistix Mastes. There are no special conditions, no negotiation. We have a zero tolerance policy towards cheating.

Lower Bracket Final Best of Three(Bo3)
Grand Finals Best of Five(Bo5) with the team from the Upper Bracket having a one game advantage.

Server rule – Both teams need to agree in chat that they are happy with the server before defibs take place. The following reasons are acceptable to request a server change (please note that when you request a server change, you should have an alternative server available that meets the tournament requirements)
You may request a server change if one of the following issues occurs on the current server:
i: Both teams are suffering lag spikes / Packetloss

ii: The server is 30hz and not 60hz
iii: Both teams have players suffering from high ping (if an individual is suffering from packetloss or high ping, this is their ISP and not the server)

Please view the weapons list as 2 new weapons have been added (CZ805 and SG553)

You may not kill an enemy player IN SPAWN during WARM UP

1 – Format

  • 1.1 – Matches consist of three maps (best of three). That means that two maps must be played with a third map being used as a tie breaker. No overall draws are possible. In the case that a match ends in a draw teams must play overtime (Check the Overtime rule below!).
    • 1.1.1 – A map consists of two halves (rounds). A map is won by the team who has destroyed the highest amount of MCOM’s over both halves (rounds) of the map. (This means you add the total amount of destroyed MCOM’s for both rounds, the team that has the highest number after adding these amounts is the winner of the map)
    • 1.1.2 – To decide which map is played, teams will eliminate maps (see elimination rules below)
    • 1.1.3 – At the end of each round, the team manager will take a screenshot showing the scores and team line-ups. Once the match is completed the managers must post the score (2-0, 2-1) in their match thread.
    • 1.1.4 – If a team makes a line-up change, both team teams must take a new screenshot showing the line-ups.
  • Factions: Default (no altering factions is allowed)
  • 1.2 – Format breakdown:
    • Match format: Best of Three (BO3 – First team to win 2 out of the 3 matches wins)
    • Average Match Length: 1h 30min to 3h
    • Game mode: SQUAD OBLIT
    • Fielded players: 5vs5
    • Players per team: 5
    • Reserves per team: Recommended 1 to 3
    • Roster Locks: ON for Premier, First and Second Divisions.
  • 1.3 – Any teams found to be ‘mutually agreeing’ to a loss, attempting to boost or starting a match and forfeiting exceptionally early will be penalised, and may be disqualified from the cup.

 

2 – Recordings & Screenshots

  • 2.1 – It is recommended that every player records their matches or saves the replay of all of their ladder matches.
  • 2.2 – Screenshots of both teams line-ups and the scores must be taken. (it is recommended that everyone on take these screenshots)
  • 2.3 – Screenshots of the end scores for each match must be kept in case of disputes. Failure to do so will results in penalties.

 

3 – Results

  • 3.1 – Both team captains must post the result on the match thread, as well as a screenshot of the end-game score of all games. Failure to do so will results in penalties, You can post your results directly on the toornament website.

4 – Disconnections

  • 4.1 – If a player disconnects from a game it is the players responsibility to rejoin the game as fast as he/she can. The match will continue as though it is live.
  • 4.2 – If the server crashes, the round is replayed on a new server.
  • 4.3 – Official reserves may be brought in to replace a player who has disconnected. The team managers must take a screenshot of the new line-up to show the latest line-up changes.
  • 4.4 – PING – if someone has a ping consistently above 150 your team may request to have the player substituted or give the player 5 minutes to fix his/her ping

 

5 – Fair Play Rule

  • 5.1 – The players are expected to play by their full capacity at all times. Losing on purpose won’t be tolerated and will result in a disqualification. This is up to the Head Admin to decide. This is a professional tournament and all players are expected to act like such.

7 – Map Restrictions

  • 7.1 – Certain areas on some Maps are restricted and are not allowed to be accessd. Use of the following restricted areas will result in the loss of that map (you must be able to provide screenshot/video evidence of this happening).
    • 7.1.1 – Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311
      • Roofs forbidden. Use of this will result in a forfeit of the map if proof is provided by the opposing team.
    • 7.1.2 – Siege of Shanghai
      • The roof on the US Side is not allowed to be entered at all through the destroying of trees next to it. Destroying the trees is allowed but do not enter the roofs then.
    • 7.1.3 – Dawnbreaker
      • The roof (canopy) of the building near the B-MCOM of the US-Side is not allowed to be entered at all through the destroying of trees next to it. Destroying the trees is allowed but do not enter the roofs then.

 

8 – Bug Use

  • 8.1 – Any sort of bug use is not allowed. Unknown bugs are forbidden until they are listed in the rules to be allowed. If a player is found glitching or using a bugged area then the players team will forfeit that map.

 

9 – Vehicles

  • 9.1 – No Vehicles are allowed and server settings should be settings disabling them.

 

10 – Warm-up / Pre-Game

  • 10.1 – You may not kill an enemy player IN SPAWN during WARM UP
  • 10.2 – The map elimination is to be performed with the defibrillator (assault class). One person from each team is to face off against each other. The winner gets to select who eliminates first.
  • 10.2.1 – Defibrillator round examples:
    • Example A – Defib winner decides to eliminate first
      • Defib Winner eliminates a map
      • Defib Loser eliminates a map
      • Defib Winner eliminates a map
      • Defib Loser eliminates a map
      • Defib Winner selects 3rd Map
      • Defib Loser picks which map will be played 2nd
      • The Final map not eliminated will be played first
      • Defib Loser picks which side to start as on the 1st map
      • For each subsequent map teams must swap which side to start as (Side A on map 1, means Side B on map 2).
    • Example B – Defib winner decides to eliminate second
      • Defib Loser eliminates a map
      • Defib Winner eliminates a map
      • Defib Loser eliminates a map
      • Defib Winner eliminates a map
      • Defib Loser selects 3rd Map
      • Defib Winner picks which map will be played 2nd
      • The Final map not eliminated will be played first

11 – Perks/Unlock/Gadgets/Weapon Restrictions

  • 11.1 – Only the following Weapons can be used (ONLY THE WEAPONS LISTED BELOW ARE ALLOWED):

    • 11.1.4 – Pistols: (These Pistols rules must be used until the new rules listed below come into effect. This rule must be used up until the 5th of March 2017)
      • All non-DLC pistols can be used
      • All DLC pistols as well as the G18 are banned and cannot be used.
    • 11.1.4 – Pistols: (These Pistols rules will come into effect on the 6th of Match 2017)
      • 93R and G18 are banned
      • All other non-DLC pistols can be used
      • All DLC pistols are banned.
    • 11.1.15 – Grenades:

  • ​11.3 – Class Restrictions (These Class Restriction rules will come into effect on the 6th of Match 2017)
    • ​11.3.1 – Engineer Class
      • Each Team may only have one Player using either the RPG, SMAW or SRAW per round, this Player shall henceforth be known as “The Rocketeer”.
        • The Rocketeer must be nominated at the start of the round. (it is advised that you take screenshots of the nomination in case of a dispute)
        • The Rocketeer can be substituted for another Player between rounds.
        • The newly appointed Rocketeer must be announced in the chat at the start of the new round.
      • Players are allowed to pick up the kit of The Rocketeer provided they do not use the RPG, SMAW or SRAW to kill an enemy Player.
      • If you get killed by a RPG, SMAW or SRAW fired by someone other than The Rocketeer, it is your responsibility to take a screenshot of the killfeed or killscreen as proof in combination with the nomination chats
      • Penalty: Contravening these rules will result in losing the map.
  • 11.4 – If your opponent has used any banned Perks/Unlock/Weapon in the match, take a screenshot of the kill message, showing your enemy using it. Message the admin on the facebook group with the information.
    • Penalty: A team who uses a banned item will lose the map(s) it is used on.

 

12 – Overtime

 

  • 12.1 – If a map ends in a draw (Playing two rounds without a definitive winner) an Overtime on the same map is mandatory. Opening a protest afterwards complaining about the overtime is unsportsmanlike behavior and will be punished as such.
  • 12.2 – Server settings that need to be changed for overtime:
    • vars.roundTimeLimit 25
    • vars.gameModeCounter 50
  • 12.3 – Overtime Procedure – Stopwatch
    • 12.3.1 – The same map will be played again with two sides, one round on each side. The time limit will be reduced to 5 minutes for each side (vars.roundTimeLimit 25). The amount of MCOM’s which needs to be destroyed will be reduced to one (vars.gameModeCounter 50). In case of a 1-1 draw the Team which destroyed the MCOM faster will win the Overtime. You can see the times when an MCOM got destroyed in the first Score Screen after the round has ended. In case of a 0-0 draw Teams will continue to play overtimes until a winner has been found. This Overtime procedure is called Stopwatch.

 

13 – Server Settings

  • 13.1 – The server settings must be checked before the start of the match and may only be contested if they were changed during the match. A protest because of wrong server settings after the match took place will be rejected!

14 – Casting/Streams

  • 14.1 – Only official administrators and streamers may join the game as broadcasters or spectators. Streamers may bring a co-caster to cast with them
